Topics

The conference is devoted to research of physical processes in near Earth space and on the Sun, to mechanisms of Solar-terrestrial relations, to studying of the Earth from the space. Together with fundamental scientific areas attention will be paid to space missions, technologies and space instrument engineering.

Thematic of sections will be the following:

1. Sun and Solar-Terrestrial relations
2. Near Earth Space
3. Earth Observation from Space
4. Space Materials Sciences and Space Life Sciences
5. Space Studies of the Moon, Planets, and Small Bodies of the Solar System
6. Technologies, Instrumentations and Systems for Space Research

During the Conference the main attention will be attracted to research using space systems – to experiments at spacecrafts, to analysis and interpretation of measurement results, to engineering of space systems for scientific purposes, to elaboration of new methods and techniques for measurements.

Important notes

1. Three types of presentations are planned:
    a. review lectures (by invitation only): 50 min
    b. plenary presentations (by invitation only): 30 min
    c. oral presentations: up to 20 min
    d. no poster session is foreseen
2. Please, use English language in abstracts and presentations
4. No more than two reports from one participant are anticipated
5. Deadline for abstract submission is June 1, 2010
6. Please, follow the abstract preparation instructions

Transportation

The National Space Center is located at the western shore of the Crimean peninsula, 17 km north-northwest from Yevpatoria.
Participants will be met at the Yevpatoria railway station. It is also possible to get there by the Yevpatoria-Vitino bus.
Yevpatoria can be reached by train or by bus from Simferopol.
There is an airport in Simferopol. You can check domestic and international flights in Ukraine at Aquavita Lufthansa City Center.

It is also possible to add an extra bed to the room for half of the room fee.
Note that the number of Apartments is very limited. Please, make reservations in advance. Unfortunately, there are no single rooms in Lazurny pansion, so please team up for a double or triple room.

Registration fee
The registration fee is 200 UAH for participants from Ukraine and 75 USD for foreign participants. It can be paid in cash at the redistration desk.
