Development of joint projects aimed at restructuring
NSAU and The Department of Technichal Assistance of the EU Commission’s Representative office in Ukraine have discussed and prepared the joint project amied at restructuring of Ukraine’s spece industry in the framework of cooperating in the field of high technology and inductrial conversion. This was accomplished in accordance with a Ukraine’s President’s decree #73 of the 6th of February 2001 titled “Activities aimed at innovating economic development by utilizing space technologies.”
Developing of Global Navigation Satellite Systems
Prepearation of Memorandum in the field of Global Navigation Satellite Systems. Initial analysis of technical aspects pertaining to Ukraine’s joining the EGNOS and Gallieo projects.
During the visit of experts from the Eurocommission and the European Space Agancy, negotiations were conducted in April and during the 5th symposium of Global Navigation Satellite Systems held in May of this year.
Consulting was initiated on signing Memorandums about cooperation in the area of GNSSpertaining ENGOS and Galile systems between NSAU and space agencies of European countries: France, Italy and Spane.
Information sharing
The use of facilities of the National Center for Control and Testing of Space Apparati (NCCTSA) for controlling and receiving of the telemetry of space apparati (SA) according to the EU’s Space Agency’s Mars Express program. With this purpose in mind, experts of the EU’s SA NCCTSA will pay a visit in order to become familiar with technical apparati (antenna PT-70), including a possibility to receive telemetric data in X-range (8.4 GHz) and to organize interface connection with EU’s Space Agency in the range of 70 MHz.
The creation of the joint workgroup in charge of cooperation in the area of space exploration and the use of space equipment
In May of 2002 the Head of the General Presidency of the “Energy and Transport” received suggestions from the Ukraine’s Representative Office in the EU as to the members of the Ukrainian part of the workgroup in charge of cooperation with the EU in the area of space exploration and the use of space equipment and Technical tasks according to an existing agreement.
In July of this year The General Presidency of the “Energy and Transport” passed the above-mentioned suggestions on to the General Presidency of the “Doslidzhennya,” after considering that the group will primarily deal with questions of the space cooperation. The suggestions are being considered by the European party at this time. |
