 The Mayak launch vehicle family is developed by using the unified rocket engines, control and measurement systems, ground support equipment and other components based on rational combination of technical solutions from both existing launch systems and those under development, application of proven industrial processes and operation technologies in order to assure high reliability, safety and competitiveness of the entire transportation system in the global launch services market.
The Mayak launch vehicle family is designed basing on the existing Zenit and Cyclonetype launch vehicles.
The launch system is based on the following principles:
• maximum utilization of previously designed and proven systems and components;
• utilization of proven technologies.
The main vehicles in the family (Mayak12, Mayak22 and Mayak23) are designed to be tandem rockets. Adding strapon boosters to these launch vehicles may expand the family
