On October 27, 2009 NSAU Director General, Mr. Oleksandr Zinchenko, had a meeting with the management of European Corporation BLOM: Executive Director of the Company “Blom ACA” - Mr. Håkon Jacobsen (Norway), and Managing Director of “BlomInfo”, Mr. Kristian Skak-Nielsen (Denmark).
In course of the meeting there were discussed perspective areas of cooperation between NSAU and BLOM Corp. in the framework of joint innovative projects on providing of geo-informational and navigational support of Ukrainian cities infrastructure, which will host the games of the European Football Championship 2012; establishment of the joint interactive processing center for collection and utilization of geospatial data for the territory of Ukraine, in particular: space images, aero-photo images, orthophotomaps, digital vector maps, laser scanning data, 3D-models and other data.
BLOM Corp. is the biggest European actor at the market on collection of geographical information by means of digital plane and oblique aerophotography, aerial, terrestrial and underwater scanning; elaboration of digital maps and 3D-models, technologies for utilization of new generation satellite navigators.
In 2005, BLOM Corp. established the “BlomInfo-Ukraine” Company in Ukraine, which actively participated in realization of the World Bank’s project on elaboration of the basis for the maintenance of land cadastre of Ukraine in the form of index-cadastral and basic maps.
