The theme of Space was comprehensively considered at the Fifth session of Committee for economical cooperation of Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission concluded in Yalta.
Space industries of Ukraine and Russia received a univocal signal for beginning of the new innovative stage of cooperation from the heads of both states governments.
Such comments were made by Director General of the National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU), Mr. Oleksandr Zinchenko regarding results of the Fifth session of Committee for economical cooperation of Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission held in Yalta.
Mr. Zinchenko mentioned that the government heads of Ukraine and Russia gave a positive attitude to the status and extent of present collaboration between two countries, in particular, within providing of the launching services and development of co-operation among space industry enterprises.
”We’re talking today about brand new stage of collaboration between Ukrainian and Russian space industries, which is supplemented by substantial new elements of relationship. In the first place it is development of telecommunication and navigation services and the following providing of those to the broadest layers of population. For instance, it could be providing of wide-band internet to the most distant places in both countries, providing of high-quality mobile communication, transfer to the 4G communication, maximum development of digital TV services etc.”, - said Mr. Zinchenko, quotation of Director General by NSAU press-service.
Individual attention was given to discussing participation of Ukraine in GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System), in particular, active engagement of extended space terrestrial infrastructure in mutually beneficial cooperation with Russian GLONASS terrestrial infrastructure and joint manufacturing of competitive navigation instrumentation, which could be operated in all formats of present navigation services with GLONASS and GPS on the first hand. |
