The Ukrainian and Canadian Business-Summit on Space and Aircraft took place in Kyiv on September 9-30, 2009. That Summit was co-organized by the National Space Agency of Ukraine, Embassy of the Canada in Ukraine and Ukrainian Scientific and Technological Centre to establish mutually beneficial contacts between Ukrainian and Canadian enterprises, scientific and research organizations, which are working in space and aircraft areas. The Summit was opened by Daniel Caron, the Ambassador of the Canada in Ukraine, and Olexander Zinchenko, NSAU Director-General.
Olexander Zincheko informed on the Summit opening, that Canada for Ukraine was a special partner, because it had been the first country which recognized the independence of Ukraine in 1991 and it was supporting our country on international arena. The years of the mutually beneficial Ukrainian and Canadian cooperation in different areas confirm a special status of our partnership. And the year 2009 became the year of a real break and of the beginning of new bilateral relations in space area.
